Quotes & invoices is a new switch on every business account (Settings, then Account type). It is on from the start for businesses in Trades & Home Services and off for everyone else until you want it. There is no charge, and SENTIREV takes no fee on what your customers pay you.
What you can do
- Write a quote with labour, materials and other lines, a deposit if you want one, and VAT worked out for you. Quotes and invoices are numbered in order and every one has a PDF.
- Send it by email or text. The customer opens a link, accepts by typing their name and pays the deposit by card. You are told when they open it, accept it or decline it. Customers never need an account; if they have one with the same email, it also shows under My quotes & invoices.
- An accepted quote becomes a job by itself. Book it in, assign it to a team member, add before-and-after photos and record the customer's sign-off on the phone when the work is done.
- Invoice the job in one tap. The invoice carries the quote lines and takes the paid deposit off once. Stage invoices for bigger jobs. Customers pay by card on the link or by bank transfer using the details you print on it; cash and transfers you record yourself.
- Overdue invoices are chased for you on day 3, 7 and 14 after the due date, by email and text, when chasing is on. You are told after the third reminder.
- An overview shows what you are owed, what is overdue, what was paid this month, how long customers take to pay and how many quotes are accepted.
On the phone
Everything above is in the SENTIREV app: Home, then Quotes & invoices. Team members you give the new "jobs" permission see only the jobs assigned to them on their My Schedule, with start, photo, sign-off and done.
On your website
A published SENTIREV website shows a Get a quote section when Quotes & invoices is on. Visitors describe the job and it lands in your quotes list as a request, with an email and a notification to you. The website chat assistant points people who want a price to that form instead of guessing.
The rules, handled
When a household accepts a quote for work at their home or agreed away from your premises, UK consumer law gives them 14 days to cancel. The quote says so and asks them to agree to an early start. Business customers can be told about statutory late-payment interest on the invoice and the final reminder if you switch that on; it never applies to households.
